All India Institute of Medical Sciences Jodhpur is one of the apex healthcare Institutes established by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India under the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojna (PMSSY). The institute is established with the aim of correcting regional imbalances in quality tertiary level healthcare in the country and attaining self sufficiency in graduate and postgraduate medical education.
The institution is being established by an Act of Parliament on the lines of the original All India Institute of Medical Sciences in New Delhi which imparts both undergraduate and postgraduate medical education along with nursing and paramedical training. AIIMS Jodhpur is situated at outskirts of city of Industrial Area Basni, Jodhpur.
AIIMS, Jodhpur provides excellent facilities to the students. It houses a separate hostel for undergraduate girls and boys and also offers residential services to nursing and postgraduate students. The institution has well-equipped laboratories for departments, canteen and mess facility, lecture halls with modern learning aids, cafeteria and exclusive library.
